We're Back! With a new name!
Workestration: Where the Future of Work Takes Shape
Some of you knew us as An Internet of People. We started exploring the future of work back when Web3 was the main event. Then ChatGPT dropped in late 2022, and suddenly everything we thought was "5-10 years out" became "maybe next quarter."
So we changed our name. Workestration is about how work actually gets orchestrated now: humans and AI figuring it out together, often in real time, sometimes messily.
What we're actually trying to do
We keep coming back to three questions:
- Where is work headed, and what's driving the shift?
- How do we make it better (and for whom)?
- What can people actually do about it this week?
No, we don't have clean answers. That's kind of the point.
Three types of guests, one conversation
We talk to Doers (HR folks and leaders in the thick of it), Builders (founders and consultants creating new tools and models), and Shapers (the economists, ethicists, and technologists thinking about what all this means).
Putting them in conversation together is where things get interesting. The researcher's framework meets the practitioner's "that's not how it works in my org" pushback. The founder's vision collides with the CHRO's compliance reality.
What to expect
In-depth interviews. Occasional panel debates. Stories from the field. We try to avoid jargon, and when we can't, we explain it.
We're tackling AI and automation (obviously), but also: what happens to management when half your team is AI? How do you pay people fairly when job definitions keep shifting? What does "career development" even mean anymore?
Why now
The decisions being made today in HR departments, boardrooms, and policy offices will shape work for the next decade. Most of those decisions are being made with incomplete information by people who are exhausted and overwhelmed.
We can't fix that entirely. But we can surface what's actually working, share the failures worth learning from, and occasionally make you feel less alone in trying to figure this out.
Join us
If you're a leader navigating transformation, a founder building tools for the new world of work, or just someone who thinks a lot about where this is all going: welcome. The future of work is being written now. Might as well have a say in it.
